Greg Burch - Photographic Artist

Artist Statement

"Through my photography I seek to share the sensual beauty and unique stories of nature. With my lens, I am a witness as light, line and colour play and dance together in ever-changing patterns and designs. Dragonflies, flowers, clouds and webs are major passions. Time becomes irrelevant when I'm in their magical worlds. I invite you to step into the experience with me."

Greg Burch Biography

Born in Auckland, New Zealand, Greg Burch moved to Sydney in 1999, pursuing his lifelong passions for nature and photography.

Travelling the Eastern Seaboard, Greg produced images and framed prints for small businesses, local galleries, private sales, artisans, musicians, motels and retreats.

Moving to the Central Coast in 2006, Greg Burch has exhibited his work locally at Gosford Regional Gallery, and won prizes and commendations in the Northern Sydney and Central Coast Area Health Prize, The Central Coast Environmental Art Prize and The Wyong Photographic Prize.

Particularly featured are his superb portraits of dragonflies. Wherever Greg is, the dragonflies seem to follow! These ancient light beings provide an endless challenge for him to share their beauty, and to honour their short dedicated lives. In 'animal speak', dragonflies tell of brilliant light, transformation and new beginnings, and butterflies tell us to tread lightly in life.
